Cortes de Cima Vinho Regional Alentejano Chamine

Cortes de Cima Vinho Regional Alentejano Chamine 750ml
Sku: 12389

Juicy, deliciously ready to drink, a fun wine at a great value. This is our most popular wine, boasting a consistent track record. A juicy, ripe, easy drinking wine, bottled early, usually within 6 months of harvest time and without any oak ageing. Best drunk young, but will improve with short term cellaring. Mainly Aragonez and Syrah, blended with other Portuguese varieties. The name Chaminé originates from one of our vineyard plots – ‘Chaminé de Gião’, where originally the grapes used in the wine were grown.

Current Vintage: 2010

Vintage 2010

Vintage 2010 experienced new record-breaking climatic extremes, both in winter rainfall and summer heat. A difficult growing season and harvest due to delayed ripening. Fine harvest weather.

Vinification

Well ripened fruit, fermented without stems and controlled temperature with frequent punch-down. This wine is filtered and bottled early to maintain clean, youthful, ripe fruit flavours.

Tasting Notes

Very attractive perfumed aromas of young red berry fruits. Bright, vibrant palate full of youthful fruit, good texture and finishing with a clean balanced acidity. Ready to drink. Made from fully ripened, hand harvested grapes. Soft, balanced tannins and intense, ripe berry fruit character.
