Trivento Cabernet Sauvignon 750ml 2006
Sku: 1504605

3 day lead-time required to confirm availability Why?

It is no secret to my wine friends I love Italian wine so when I found out one of my favorite producers of Italian wine (Castello Banfi) was making a wine in Argentina I was very anxious to try them. I was very impressed at the quality; Trivento is by far one of the best values coming out of all South America. I can honestly say if I did not know the price in advance I would have thought they were much more. I use these wines at many of my wine tastings with great success, they are always a big hit. Buy this wine by the case, give as gifts they are that good!
Keith A. Shaw

Deep ruby in color. Aromas of ripe black fruit and red berries, like plums and raspberries, characterize the nose. Barrel aging adds tobacco and chocolate notes.

They named their wines Trivento (Three Winds) after the three different sinds that flow through their vineyards and gave their grapes their unique character.

Viņa Concha y Toro founded Argentine winery Trivento Bodegas y Viņedos S.A. in 1996 to make exceptional wines for local and foreign markets. Chosen principally for its soil and climate, Mendoza also offers the almost unique opportunity of "high-altitude viticulture."

Large swings in temperature, sun-bathed days and fresh nights in the semi arid climate reduce the risk of pests and disease in the vineyards ensuring the healthiest of harvests. The vineyards receive barely 8 inches of rainfall a year so the drip irrigation systems deliver melting waters channeled down from the Andes. Stony soils drain off excess water and maintain vineyard growth and yield in balance.
